Majid Adin is a London-based animator, illustrator, editor, and motion designer with a unique storytelling voice shaped by his journey as an artist. Originally from Iran, he gained international recognition after winning a competition to create the animated music video for Elton John’s "Rocket Man" in 2017, drawing from his own experiences as a refugee.
With a background in fine arts, animation directing, and computer animation, Majid has produced over 18 animated short films and collaborated with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations, Harvard University, BBC, and Good Chance Theatre. His work spans animation, graphic novels, illustration, and motion design, and has been exhibited at renowned venues like the Venice Biennale, House of Illustration, and Migration Museum London.
Beyond animation, Majid is a published graphic novelist, best known for "Hamid and Shakespeare", and a skilled scriptwriter and comedian, having performed alongside notable artists in London. His portfolio includes award-winning animations, large-scale murals, and projects that explore themes of migration, resilience, and human connection.
Majid continues to push the boundaries of visual storytelling, blending humour, fantasy, and deep emotional narratives in his work. Whether through animation, illustration, or filmmaking, he strives to create impactful and thought-provoking art.
